Privacy Policy
This policy explains in detail how "Tomney" and/or its sub entities along with its affiliated companies (hereinafter "we", "us", "our", "Tomney", "https://tomney.online", "https://community.tomney.online") and our software providers (hereinafter "they", "them, "their") use any information collected during any session of usage by you (hereinafter "your information").
How is your information collected
Your information is collected via two ways. Firstly, by browsing "Tomney" and/or its sub entities will cause our software to create a number of cookies, which are small text files that are downloaded on to your computer's web browser temporary files. The first two cookies just contain a user identifier (hereinafter "user-id") and an anonymous session identifier (hereinafter "session-id"), automatically assigned to you by our software. A third cookie will be created once you have browsed topics within "Tomney" and/or its sub entities and is used to store which topics have been read, thereby improving your user experience. By using "Tomney" and/or its sub entities, you are consenting to our use of cookies.
What information is collected
We may also create cookies external to our software whilst browsing "Tomney" and/or its sub entities, though these are outside the scope of this document which is intended to only cover the pages created by our software. The second way in which we collect your information is by what you submit to us. This can be, and is not limited to: posting as a registered user on "Tomney" and/or its sub entities (hereinafter "your account") and posts submitted by you after registration and whilst logged in (hereinafter "your posts").
Your account will at a bare minimum contain a uniquely identifiable name (hereinafter "your username"), a personal password used for logging into your account (hereinafter "your password") and a personal, valid e-mail address (hereinafter "your e-mail"). Your information for your account at "Tomney" and/or its sub entities is protected by data-protection laws applicable in the country that hosts us. Any information beyond your username, your password, and your e-mail address required by "Tomney" and/or its sub entities during the registration process is either mandatory or optional, at the discretion of "Tomney" and/or its sub entities. In all cases, you have the option of what information in your account is publicly displayed. Furthermore, within your account, you have the option to opt-in or opt-out of automatically generated e-mails from our software.
How we use your information
We use your information for making you an account on "Tomney" and/or its sub entities, and we will not share or release your information to any third parties without your consent. We may however use your information to contact you via email, but you can opt-in or opt-out via the "Preferences" page in your account settings. By accepting our Privacy Policy, you give consent for "Google" to collect your information via Google Analytics on "Tomney" and/or its sub entities. Since we do not hold this information, we do not take any responsibility for any misuse of your information by third parties.
Protecting your data
We also have measures in place to keep your data secure and all information you provide to us will be safely stored. You have the right to access the data we store and request any information we hold to be deleted. To make a request, you should contact us via our contact form. Please do not email us as some emails are not monitored, and we take no responsibility if your request is not fulfilled due to you contacting us on a wrong email address. Alternatively, you can contact an administrator via private messages (Conversation).
Your password is ciphered (a one-way hash) so that it is secure. However, it is recommended that you do not reuse the same password across a number of different websites. Your password is the means of accessing your account at "Tomney" and/or its sub entities, so please guard it carefully and under no circumstance will anyone affiliated with "Tomney" and/or its sub entities, our software providers, or another 3rd party, legitimately ask you for your password. Should you forget your password for your account, you can use the "I forgot my password" feature provided by our software. This process will ask you to submit your username and your e-mail, then our software will generate a new password to reclaim your account.
Policy changes
By using "Tomney" and/or its sub entities signifies that you accept our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Global Rules. If you do not wish to accept our policies, please stop using our service, and you may contact us to have your account removed if required.
We may change our Privacy Policy at any time, and you will be informed when our policy changes.
