Top Five Films to Look Forward to in 2026!

It’s always exciting to look ahead to upcoming releases – and we have a lot to look forward to! July of 2026 will see blockbusters like Moana, The Odyssey and Spider Man: Brand New Day and I’m incredibly excited for all of them – but looking further ahead, what else do we have to look forward to?

5 – Street Fighter

Set to release in the UK in October 2026, Street Fighter will take the classic capcom game and reimagine it for the big screen. Sure, the 1994 film was terrible, but we can hope that lessons have been learned and we’re going to be left with a fun action adventure full of epic fight scenes and a World Warrior Tournament to remember.

4 – Leviticus

We may not have an official UK release date for Leviticus yet, but I’ll be surprised if we don’t have it before the summer is out. The coming-of-age romantic horror went down really well at the Sundance Film Festival, and I’m really excited to see a queer horror film on the big screen. Dealing with themes of modern homophobia, the film has already received positive reviews, and I can’t wait to see it for myself.

3 – Practical Magic 2

Set to release in September 2026, Practical Magic 2 will be a direct sequel to the beloved 1998 cult classic, and I cannot wait to see it. With the original stars reprising their roles and a whole new generation set to be introduced to the world of Practical Magic, this is one I’m keeping a very close eye on.

2 – Avengers: Doomsday

Of course, there was bound to be a big Marvel movie on the list. I absolutely love the Avengers films and whilst I have, for the most part, checked out from Marvel since the events of End Game, I am incredibly excited for Doomsday. Releasing in December 2026, Doomsday will see some absolutely iconic characters and actors return – and with Robert Downey Jr. set to take on the role of Doctor Doom, I’m sure we’re in for a treat.

1 – Dune: Part Three

Releasing in December 2026, Dune: Part Three will be the final installment of the incredible Dune trilogy. Based on the 1969 book Dune Messiah, the film will be set 17 years after the events of the second film and will show the consequences of all the events that have taken place up to this point. This is set to be an epic conclusion with incredible returning and new cast members, and I can’t wait to see it.
